Backup is of great importance for network and system administrators. Usually, NAS storage is used to store the backup copies, but nowadays, with Object Storage support as a repository in Veeam, it is possible to keep your backup copy in the cloud without having to worry about the need for a hard drive, thus eliminating the restrictions that come with using it.

You can use ArvanCloud’s Object Storage for backup repositories in the Veeam software. Similarly, in the backup version settings of the virtual machines, you can set the ArvanCloud Object Storage as a location for storing backups. You can watch the steps for these settings in the following video tutorial.

How to Use Veeam Backup to Create and Store Backups

To do this, select Backup Infrastructure and Backup Repositories at the bottom of the Veeam software screen, then click Add Repository. Select Object Storage in the window that opens.

In the next window, select the S3 Compatible option and proceed with the steps after you choose a name for your repository.

Enter the information in the next step as follows:

Select the Add option and type in your Access Key and Secret Key information, which you will find in the ArvanCloud User Panel in the Object Storage section.

On the next page, you will select the desired bucket and create a folder inside that bucket in the Folders section.

Once you have correctly configured the settings, you will be shown a screen similar to the one below.

In addition, the added repository will be visible.
