If you are using ArvanCloud’s content delivery network (CDN), and the users visiting your website encounter the SSL error, it can be due to one of the following reasons:

  • The cloud icon of your DNS record of the domain/subdomain is deactivated.
  • Configuration of the certificate is not done in ArvanCloud’s user panel.
  • You may have uploaded an invalid certificate in ArvanCloud’s user panel.
  • You may have uploaded an expired certificate in ArvanCloud’s user panel.
  • You may have uploaded a certificate that was not a wildcard one in ArvanCloud’s user panel.

Deactivated Cloud Icon

In the user panel, go to the CDN Product. After choosing your domain, go to the DNS Records section and make sure the cloud icon is activated for the A records of your domain. Otherwise, by clicking on the cloud icon, you are going to activate the CDN.

Certificate Settings

Being sure of the activation of the cloud icon for your main domain, you need to check certificate settings. In order to do so, follow the instructions below:

CDN Product > choose your domain > HTTPS Settings section

After activating the HTTPS, click on “personal certificate”. Upload all the private key files as well as your certificate in the boxes.

To support your subdomains as well as your main domain, please note that you need a wildcard certificate to be uploaded. Also, it must be valid, chained, and not expired.
