Google Search Console is one of the most widely used tools for website analysis and management. With the features of this Google tool, you can check and fix website errors, check various reports about the website, request indexing of pages, and manage internal and external links.

To get started with Google Search Console, you must first verify your domain’s ownership. This way, you can prove that the domain you want to use in Search Console belongs to you. This guide explains how to verify the domain for Search Console using TXT Record. TXT Record is one of the DNS records that you can easily create from the ArvanCloud User Panel.

How to Verify the Domain in Google Search Console Using TXT Record

To do this, first, go to the main page of the Search Consol. After entering your Gmail and password, log in to your account. In the next step, you will see a page similar to the image below. If you select the URL prefix, you can use Search Console on a subdomain. If you select Domain, you can manage all addresses and subdomains associated with a domain in this Search Console user account.

Depending on your needs, enter the desired address in one of the two sections shown in the image and click Next. In the next step, the Search Console prepares the TXT Record for the domain or subdomain you specified in the previous step. Copy it using the Copy option.

Now go to the ArvanCloud user panel. Note that the domain for which these settings are made must be active in this user account. After navigating to the CDN section and selecting the desired domain, select “DNS Records” from the right menu.

In the section dedicated to the creation of DNS records, set the type of the record to TXT. Select the @ title for it and in the Value section enter the TXT record copied from the Google Search Console settings.

It will take some time for the TXT Record to be applied after registration. To verify the application, return to the Search Console page and click the “Verify” option. When the record has been applied, you will see a message like the one below indicating that your domain ownership has been verified in Google Search Console.
