What is Private Network?

Launching a software service always requires a proper network infrastructure. In such cases, they often create different VLANs on a data center infrastructure. Thus, various services do exchange information on separate platforms.

As the above figure shows, servers connected to the same-colored ports can only communicate with one another. For example, the server connected to a red-colored port cannot communicate with a server connected to a blue-colored one by default.

The same concept has been presented more broadly on the ArvanCloud IaaS infrastructure named the Private Network. Therefore, you can set up a small data center with your preferred configuration.

It is worth considering that the ArvanCloud infrastructure uses VXLAN that is an advanced version of VLAN. Every user can easily use the ArvanCloud user panel to create a new network and implement his activities without worrying about interfering with other ones.

What are the Uses of a Private Network?

The most special application of a private network is for the clients who own an average- to high-level service. These customers can define different private network services as required. This way, they help both service separation and security.

For example, you can create a private network and set the instances which make the database and application server within the network so that the instances communicate with one another without being seen on the internet. This way, it would be possible to separate various services and establish security simultaneously.

You can use this method to establish a personal data center.
